Archbishop Tennison's collection: state papers, [1532-1661].

Two volumes containing a variety of state papers, most dating from the early seventeenth century. Contents of volume 1 include "A Descriptione of His Ma.ties Courtts of Recorde....1614"; "Proceedings Arraygnment and Execution of Robert Earle of Essex"; and "Lady Roo's answer to the Libell against her in the Spirituall Court....1661". Volume 2 contains "Of Robert Devereux Earle of Essex and George Villiers Duke of Buckingham : Some observations by way of Paralell in the time of their Estates and Favor" [1628] and Parliamentary proceedings for January-March, 1628.
